Killed by Dessert

We’re so excited to be hosting Killed By Dessert, a multi-course dessert feast benefitting Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign on Monday, November 5th!

After a successful dinner at Momofuku Milk Bar’s warehouse kitchen in Brooklyn, five of the nation’s most respected pastry chefs are descending on Austin for a one-night-only dessert extravaganza! If you’ve ever dreamed of having amazing dishes from the best pastry chefs across the nation (as well as our very own Austin), this is your night! You’ll also feel great knowing that you’re supporting a wonderful organization committed to ending childhood hunger.

The pastry chefs who started this event created a manifesto of sorts for the series, including this fantastic statement:

We are pastry chefs. It is up to us to leave a pleasant last impression. Our work is often an afterthought of guests already satiated by savory. We admit that what we provide is mere luxury, yet we know we satisfy your innermost cravings. Each of us, at one time or another, has wished we could simply send dessert first. This is our chance. We just want to kill you with dessert.

The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and savory bites, then move on to a seated dinner featuring 8 courses with wine pairings. Tickets are $150 per person.
